I believe that every single person on this planet can be inspired to do great things. I believe that a culture built on trust can lead to amazing results. I believe that by tapping into each person’s uniqueness and intrinsic motivation, an environment can be created to allow people to thrive. I’ve practiced this in my own classroom and seen the impact with my own eyes. If you are interested in doing the same in your classroom, organization, school, district or company, please contact me for more information.
Currently, I am a sixth grade science teacher at Caruso Middle School in Deerfield, Illinois. Before teaching, I spent five years doing chemistry work in the labeling industry. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology from UW-Madison and a Master’s of Arts in Teaching from National Louis. I have presented and worked with various school districts on healthy culture, NGSS implementation, standards-based learning, project-based learning, and personalized learning. In my classroom, the focus is put on students becoming scientists themselves and bringing real-world science to life.
